An Introduction

I have asked two of my ABLE staff members to join me in completing "Transforming Learning and Innovating Instruction - An Online Hybrid Course using PowerPath to Education and Employment." As we are in the process of re-designing how we delivery our services to those adults who need them, I thought this course would be helpful in ensuring we are incorporating the wisdom of the research that exists on adult ed.

We are required to keep a digital journal, and I thought perhaps the easiest way to do so was by blogging. I don't expect anyone to actually read this with the exception of my co-workers and of course the course facilitator and designer, Dr. Laura Weisel.

We had a short turn around time between the first 2 webinars of the course. One thing that I hadn't counted on was needing to allot extra time for my triad. The triad is a group of myself and 2 other individuals who are to use technology to keep in touch throughout the process in order to learn from one another. One of the members assigned to my triad was only filling in for someone else, so I'm not sure if we will have three in our group or not. For now, I'm going to concentrate on reviewing the things necessary before tomorrow's noon webinar.
